The Aussiger Beiträge is listed in the Scopus international database since 2013, and in the ERIH PLUS since 2015.
All issues of the Aussiger Beiträge are recorded in the MLA International Bibliography, in Germanistik: Internationales Referatenorgan mit bibliographischen Hinweisen.
Issue schedule: once a year (December), alternately with a focus on literary/cultural history, and linguistics/foreign language teaching.
Language: German (title, abstracts and keywords in German and English)
Academic disciplines: literature, linguistics, German as a foreign language, cultural history.
The common ground for the contributions to Aussiger Beiträge is the area of German, Austrian, and Czech cultures. The journal is open to both the topics of “classical” German studies abroad and to promising innovative research with the aim of establishing a dialogue between young and experienced scholars. In addition to academic articles, reviews of important books in the field of German studies, as well as relevant conference and project reports are published.
Electronic availability:
Every article has a DOI number since 2022.
The journal has been published only in electronic version since issue 17 (2023) as Open Access.

Call for Papers:
The CFP for the issue of the following year is announced on the journal website, on the H-Germanistik website, and via mailing lists in early September every year. The Editorial Board then selects the best submissions and notifies the contributors by December.
Assessment methods:
All submissions to AB are subject to double-blind review by at least two independent reviewers expert in their field. The Editorial Board’s final decision is then made upon the reviewers’ recommendation.
